Olivia Bouisset graduated from Oxford University, where she received a PhD in Biochemistry in 2012. Her research interests span from the use of single molecule scale methods on membrane proteins for bionanotechnological applications to the characterisation of potential inhibitors of the amyloid beta peptide aggregation – one of the hallmarks of Alzheimer’s disease. A post-doctoral fellow and then research engineer at CNRS (French national centre for scientific research) for three years, she now works as a scientific and medical translator.
