Dr Kam Cheong Li, Director of Research at the Open University of Hong Kong, has been extensively involved in open and innovative education for more than two decades. He has served as a course developer, programme leader, and course coordinator in a broad range of distance learning, adult learning, e-learning and blended learning programmes. As the former Secretary-General of the Asian Association of Open Universities, he actively developed the Association’s services and promoted professionalism and good practices in open and innovative education. Dr Li holds three bachelor’s degrees, four master’s degrees and a PhD. He is the author of over 150 publications, including refereed journal papers, book chapters, monographs and textbooks. His research interests include open education, pedagogical innovations and academic analytics. Dr Eva Yuen Mei Tsang is Director of Educational Technology and Development at the Open University of Hong Kong. With over 20 yearsof professional experience, Dr Tsang is an expert on instructional design, development and delivery of distance and open learning courses, and the establishment of quality assurance systems to produce distance learning materials. Dr Tsang is also highly experienced in delivering training on course development, instructional design, e-learning, blended learning and mobile learning for academics, distance education planners and practitioners. Dr Billy Tak Ming Wong, Research Coordinator at the Open University of Hong Kong, has participated in processing and reviewing hundreds of research applications. He has also published widely on topics related to open education and research capacity development, and has received several awards for his papers at various academic conferences. His research areas include open and flexible education, mobile learning, blended learning, open educational resources, and learning analytics.
