Part of the "Requisites" series, this book covers the information for diagnosis and treatment of the frequently found neurologically-related eye diseases and abnormalities. It explores neurologic factors in relation to eye disorders with attention given to areas of prechiasmal, chiasmal, and postchiasmal visual loss, and transient visual loss.
A vital addition to the "Requisites" series, "The Requisites in Ophthalmology: Neuro-Ophthalmology" covers the important information essential for diagnosis and treatment of the most frequently found neurologically-related eye diseases and abnormalities. Dr. Martin and Dr. Corbett explore neurologic factors in relation to eye disorders with specific attention given to areas of prechiasmal, chiasmal, and postchiasmal visual loss, and transient visual loss. The book presents sections on commonly found symptoms and the problems most difficult to diagnose such as gaze disturbances, the brains control of eye movements and headaches.

Timothy J. Martin, M.D. is currently holding an appointment as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest University Eye Center. As a former Fellow in Neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, Dr. Martin is in receipt of numerous educational and research awards in this subspecialty where few ophthalmologists are highly-trained: P.J. Leinfelder Award for Research, Merck Award, and the A.D. Williams Research Fellow. His reputation as a guest lecturer and contributing author in Neuro-ophthalmology have earned him a high profile in publications directed at ophthalmologists, neurologists, and neuro-surgeons.

James J. Corbett, M.D. is currently holding an appointment as Professor and Chairman of Neurology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Since we are targeting
a dual audience with both ophthalmologists and neurologists, Dr. Corbett?s name recognition
will carry the neurology audience. Much of the published work by Dr. Corbett reflects research in ocular motility disorders which are some of the mostfrequently found and most difficult to treat of all neuro-ophthalmology problems.
