A Blackburn Rovers fan of more than 70 years, Harry Berry was commissioned to write the club's centenary history in 1975. Since then he has published other books on Blackburn. For the last two years he has published statistical work on the club via his Twitter account. A former marathon runner, he wrote an account of the Trans-Continental Footraces of 1927 and 1928, which gained a cult following among ultra-distance aficionados.
