"Success with BEC" offers complete exam preparation. Each module is divided into: Business Topic lessons which teach vocabulary from BEC topic areas; Business Skills lessons which focus on essential communication skills; and, Exam Spotlight lessons which present information about the exam, develop exam skills and provide exam practice. The core lessons all: cover a carefully-designed grammar syllabus with extensive practice; introduce modern business issues of the day; and, include exam-type activities and tips for exam success.The input texts focus on current business topics and skills. Exam-led grammar syllabus - The grammar is explicitly presented and practised in the core lessons. The structure of the book ensures 100 per cent coverage of the content of the exam. The BEC exams deal with either business topics or business skills. It allows teachers to select the type of lesson (topic-based or skill-based) according to the needs of their learners. Each lesson is self contained. The Workbook features interesting and motivating input and activities. It also provides further exam practice. The Teacher's Book includes reduced pages from the Student's Book for easy reference. Mara Pedretti lives in Italy and has been an English language teacher since 1995. She is a freelance teacher training in creative teaching and effective communication. She teaches EFL at university level and Business English in companies. She is also an ELT consultant for an Italian publisher. Rolf Cook is a native of the UK, but has lived in Italy since the early 90s. He has 20 years' experience in teaching English as a foreign language and runs training sessions on teaching techniques. Rolf is also a translator, and teaches translation at university level. Helen Stephenson first taught business English in the 1980s. She has written in-house training courses and a course for upper-secondary students. She teaches at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
