John Putzier is president of FirStep, Inc., a performance improvement consultancy based in Prospect, Pennsylvania. He is the author of the best-selling book, Get Weird! 101 Innovative Ways to Make Your Company a Great Place to Work, and also makes regular appearances in major print and broadcast media as an expert on current and emerging workplace issues and trends. Previously, John was a member of the adjunct faculty of Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management, where he taught organizational behavior and theory. He also worked for a decade in a variety of human resources positions for a Fortune 100 corporation, where he served as an equal employment opportunity officer and manager of employment.
