lt;b>Thierry Meynard is Doctor in Chinese Philosophy from Peking University with a thesis on the religious thought of Liang Shuming (2003), published in English as The Religious Philosophy of Liang Shuming (2010). Since 2006, he is professor of philosophy at Sun Yat-sen University, China. He is also director of the Archives for the Introduction of Western Learning, and the executive director of the Research Center on Canton and international exchanges.
Philippe Major is a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute for European Global Studies of the University of Basel as part of a research group on The Exterior of Philosophy: On the Practice of New Confucianism. He has a PhD in Philosophy from the National University of Singapore, where he wrote his thesis on Modern Confucianism. He has published articles on Liang Shuming and Xiong Shili in Philosophy East and West, Dao, Monumenta Serica, and International Communication of Chinese Culture.
