Barry Chazan is Professor Emeritus of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Adjunct Professor at the George Washington University Graduate School of Education and Human Development, USA. He is the author of A Philosophy of Israel Education (2016) and Cultures and Contexts of Jewish Education (2017). Chazan's other books and articles deal with moral development and education; philosophy of Jewish education; informal education, and Israel and Jewish education. Chazan is the recipient of numerous prizes and awards for his pioneering work in the field of Jewish Education.
