Caroline F. Pukall, Professor, Department of Psychology, Queen's University Caroline Pukall is a full professor in the department of psychology at Queen's University. She is also the director of the university's Sex Therapy Service and has been involved in sexuality research and therapy for over a decade. Her research focusses on sexual pain in women, arousal, and same-sex relationships, and involves the use of multiple research methodologies. Professor Pukall has published over 40 articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed numerous chapters to other texts. She has also co-edited the medical textbook Female Sexual Pain Disorders: Evaluation and Management (Wiley-Blackwell, 2009) and co-authored a self-help book entitled When Sex Hurts: A Woman's Guide to Banishing Sexual Pain (Da Capo, 2011). In addition, she serves on several editorial boards (including the Archives of Sexual Behaviour) and is an associate editor for The Journal of Sexual Medicine. An expert in her field, Pukall was also an advisor to the task force and working group of the DSM-V definition of sexual pain disorders.
